Yes, this is a game for small children. But my word it’s fun. And cute! Very cute. You’re a Zing, and it’s up to you to stop the evil queen someone or other and her army of Nixes from taking over Spring Bay. Can you do it? It’s all down to YOU. No pressure.

Ganz, the company behind Amazing World, is best known for the long running Webkinz game. This should comfort parents wondering if this game is properly filtered and moderated. Chat is turned off by default, and parental controls are available to decide if your child can chat or not.

Or you can be like me, a grown up type person with a fondness for rotund teddy bears. In that case you can totally pretend to be your own parent. It’s fine. No one will know.

Of course, being Ganz there’s tie in merch available. This is a given, but it also seems to help keep the subscription price down. The open worldish aspect of the game means there’s plenty to do even in the free game, but levels do stop and you lack access to various bits and pieces.

So yes, it’s a kids game and lacks any real challenge for an adult type person, but if you’re mentally 12 like myself it’s good fun and I must away and decorate my house.
