March 27, 2013 Taking The Red Pill
Later on today I’m having surgery. I’ve been having these weird abdominal pains since November, so my doctor had me ultrasounded and they found a bunch of gallstones. So now I’m getting my gallbladder out.
They’re doing something called “laparoscopic surgery,” (warning: gross pictures) which means they’re going in through my bellybutton to get it out, which of course makes me think of this scene from The Matrix (warning: a cuss or two). And I don’t think they’re replacing it with anything, so my dream of becoming a cyborg is still a ways off, apparently.
So what does this all mean for the site here? Well, it means I don’t know that I’ll have updates the next couple of days. I might, but I really don’t know. It’s probably safe to assume I won’t.
However! Thursday’s regularly scheduled Wonderfalls write-up will go up in the evening! Make sure you come back for that. I really hope you’re watching the show along with Meags and reading the articles.
I’ll plan to be back on Monday for sure with the next Better Off Ted, and if I feel up to it, I’ll have other things for you before then.
Thanks for reading!
